One of our Hanukah traditions is a night of giving instead of receiving. Every year we read about charities and Noah chooses who he’d like to help. Every year we read about the World Wildlife Fund and Habitat and Doctors Without Borders and Noah listens intently. Then he says “What about the disasters?” and we go back to our old friends, the Red Cross. When he was three, he requested that we send some money to hire a digger to dig up those plates that kept causing earthquakes and disaster relief remains his cause of choice.

What a wonderful photo! I’m so proud of you guys teaching the next generation to care about others. I wonder what Jemmie’s organization of choice will be.
