In a landmark agreement between the feline and toddler factions, a ceasefire was signed today. Only time will tell if this will lead to a lasting peace.

The toy box is far more fun than the toys.

Balloons

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

I was at school for open house all day today, so Noah and Nathan were on their own. I came home bearing balloons and cookies, so my absense was very quickly forgiven.

Halloween!

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

Noah was almost a dog for Halloween. Almost, but not quite. A growth spurt ruled out the dog costume, and after a last minute costume run, he appeared as a bat this Halloween. He would tell you that the best thing about the bat costume were the eyes on top of his head, and he spent quite some time in front of a mirror making sure they were still there. He got a lot of wear out of the bat costume over just a few days – a party at Nathan’s office, an early morning trip to my classroom to show the big kids, a parade at school, and handing out candy to trick or treaters last night. We’ve had so much fun with our little bat this week that I hate to pack the costume away.
